Compositions:

General Information

•Benzalkonium chloride therapeutic shampoo contains the active ingredient benzalkonium chloride, which helps to treat a scaly dry scalp in two ways. Firstly it binds to the dry skin scales and loosens them so that they can be easily washed away. Secondly, benzalkonium chloride has antiseptic properties that help to destroy a yeast called Malassezia furfur. This yeast is commonly found on scaly scalps and aggravates the condition.
• Dandruff (pityriasis capitis).
• Other scaly scalp conditions eg seborrhoeic dermatitis.
• Take your medications exactly as prescribed by your doctor, including at the right times and for the full length of your prescribed treatment.
• Keep the shampoo away from the eyes.
• Use the shampoo as directed.
• Read the package insert and/or patient product information sheet that comes with your prescription.
• Known sensitivity or allergy to any ingredient.
• This medicine should not be used if you are allergic to one or any of its ingredients. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have previously experienced such an allergy. If you feel you have experienced an allergic reaction, stop using this medicine and inform your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
•Certain medicines should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. However, other medicines may be safely used in pregnancy or breastfeeding providing the benefits to the mother outweigh the risks to the unborn baby. Always inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, before using any medicine.
• There are no known harmful effects when this medicine is used by pregnant or breastfeeding mothers.
•Medicines and their possible side effects can affect individual people in different ways. The following are some of the side effects that are known to be associated with this medicine. Because a side effect is stated here, it does not mean that all people using this medicine will experience that or any side effect.
• Skin irritation in people hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.
• The side effects listed above may not include all of the side effects reported by the drug's manufacturer. For more information about any other possible risks associated with this medicine, please read the information provided with the medicine or consult your doctor or pharmacist.
•This medicine is not known to affect other medicines.
•Read the package insert and/or patient product information sheet that comes with your prescription.
• Most medications should be stored in a dry place away from heat and humidity.

• If your medication needs to be protected from light, it should be stored in a container that filters out light, such as a clean film canister.
• If your medication needs to be refrigerated, and you do not have a fridge available (for example, if you are working outside or on the road all day), try using a cooler with an ice pack. An ordinary cooler found at hardware or sporting goods stores will do.

General Information

•Lidocaine is an anesthetic. It works by preventing nerves from transmitting painful impulses to the brain.
•You should take as prescribed by your doctor as there are many drugs which have their different uses.
•Causing loss of feeling during certain procedures. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
•Use lidocaine as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions. Lidocaine is usually given at your doctor's office, hospital, or clinic. If you miss a dose of lidocaine, contact your doctor to find out what to do. Ask your health care provider any questions you may have about how to use lidocaine.
•Avoid driving and doing other tasks or actions that call for you to be alert until you see how lidocaine affects you. Lidocaine is for external use only. Do not get it in your eyes, nose, or mouth. If you get it in any of these areas, rinse at once with cool water. Do not put on open sores or broken skin. You may hear a sound like a popping balloon when lidocaine is used. This is normal.
•you are allergic to any ingredient in lidocaine or to similar medications (eg, amide-type local anesthetics) Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.
•It is not known if lidocaine can cause harm to the fetus. If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using lidocaine while you are pregnant. Lidocaine is found in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you use lidocaine, check with your doctor. Discuss any possible risks to your baby.
•All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome: Mild itching, redness, or swelling where lidocaine was used; small red or purple spots on the skin. Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur: Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); bruising, burning, pain, or bleeding where lidocaine was used; severe or persistent itching, redness, or swelling where lidocaine was used. This is not a complete list of all side effects that may occur. If you have questions about side effects, contact your health care provider. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects.
•Although certain medicines should not be used together at all, in other cases two different medicines may be used together even if an interaction might occur. In these cases, your doctor may want to change the dose, or other precautions may be necessary. Tell your healthcare professional if you are taking any other prescription or nonprescription (over-the-counter [OTC]) medicine
•Lidocaine is handled and stored by a health care provider. You will not store it at home. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children and away from pets.
•Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then to use the medicine and skip the missed dose. Do not apply extra medicine to make up the missed dose.

Drug to be avoid with alcohol Certain medicines should not be used at or around the time of eating food or eating certain types of food since interactions may occur. Using alcohol or tobacco with certain medicines may also cause interactions to occur. Discuss with your healthcare professional the use of your medicine with food, alcohol, or tobacco. Using medicines in this class with any of the following is usually not recommended, but may be unavoidable in some cases.
